I know, I know...I took these photos last summer, but these winter blues got me down. So here's a few pics that I took while Steph and I were down there.
The Marble House is my favorite mansion down in Newport. I'd love to live there for a day...or a week...month...couple of years?
More Marble House
People enjoying the view.
Chinese Tea House
Rosecliff...This was another gorgeous mansion. We wanted our wedding reception here...but no go. Too much $$$...unless there are anonymous donors?
Steph liked the statue a little too much...
View out from the fountain.
Nice balcony
I just wish the Newport Historical Society had a little more taste than putting a chain link fence around the property...they clearly didn't ask an architect.
Angles and Shapes are cool...
I loved being in the front of the house and still being able to see through to the ocean.
Rosecliff front gardens.
I pulled over on the side of the road for this shot.
The seagulls weren't even phased by me climbing closer to them.
I think this one was hamming it up for the camera.

Providence Flower Show
This past weekend, I made it over to the Providence Flower Show. I was expecting more flowers and such, but it was more of a Infomercial Heaven. But I did manage to get a few shots.
Enjoy!
Some kind of special orchid
A zen garden setup.
Some kind of fiery flower
And another...
I think these were fox somethings...I wasn't really good with remembering names.
Some yellow tulips.
and some more flowers I don't know the names of.
