Well I'm back... Steph and I took a vacation down to Miami Beach and I was finally able to find some time to get behind the camera again. Aside from lounging pool side, laying by the beach, and relaxing, Steph and I took in the local Art Deco architecture. It's very different from my favorite Chrysler Building in NYC and the Industrial Trust Building in Providence. We ended up going on a walking tour of some of the architecture. Steph learned lots of fun facts, but I felt like I was back in one of my history of architecture classes... So out of the numerous photos, 450+ to be exact, I narrowed it down to the 40 pictures below. It's pretty much architectural shots. Our hotel was across from the Delano, one of my favorites, and then there was the Victor as well. The fonts for each hotel are really interesting. Hope you enjoy all the photos!

Nice collection!
I love how you can take seemingly simple buildings and draw out their sculptural elements and make them beautifully intriguing to look at. Whether it's the symmetry or the abstract lines, shapes, or groupings of elements, you really capture something great that keeps you looking and discovering more about each piece. I think you do it with all your architectural photography.
And you can quote me on that! :)
I really enjoy all of them but if I have to select just a few...
02 - i love the "real" life here. and all the singularities in a super repetitive landscape; one man, one vehicle, one post, one sign, etc. nice.
03 - love the colors and peaking palm that your eye can complete with the reflections
14 - um... is that a transformer guarding the entryway???
20 - i love the tone of this one. beautiful balanced vertical lines are cut through by the wire from the light to the building. With all the lines pointing to the center the composition keeps your eye floating in the image discovering new treasures of light and shadow.
21 - just very fun lighting, contrasts, and silhouettes of the palms
28 & 29 - i love the closeups of little details, textures. it makes the whole collection more than just "buildings". nice addition.
36 - great cityscape. nice exposure. lol
keep um comin! hope everything is going well!
